We’re very sad to report that after playing with the quartet for the last four years John has decided to move on to pursue other musical opportunities. We’re sorry to see him go, but excited to see what he does next. He’s still in the Cambridge area so we’ll undoubtedly be bumping into him from time to time.
We are however equally excited that Sally Gogna has agreed to take up the vacant alto seat in the quartet. Sally is no stranger to the quartet having played with us as a dep for the last couple of years – most notably for an extended period during Carmen’s pregnancy. She is an outstanding player who has a regular seat with St Neot’s Big Band and is involved in all sorts of musical ativities in the Huntigdon area.
Although she’s played with us many times before, she had her first official outings with the quartet last weekend with an appearance at the Bourn Proms on Friday being followed by a very warm birthday party on Saturday. We’ve got quite a few bookings over the next few weeks so she’s straight into the swing of things!
